    Looking for fireworks shows beyond Rockford? Check out these shows from across the region

    If you want to take in a fireworks show or two outside of the Rockford area, try visiting one of these 13 northern Illinois and southern Wisconsin towns.

    June 29

    Hinckley Good Time for All Festival at dusk at Hinckley-Big Rock High School, 700 E. Lincoln Ave. Visitors can enjoy a day full of music, outdoor activities, food and fireworks at night.

    The Rock Aqua Jays Water Ski Show Team will host the fireworks show for city of Janesville during Star Spangled Saturday, June 29. The day will include amusement rides, bands, food trucks, a ski show and other special acts at Traxler Park, 600 N. Main St., Janesville, Wisconsin.

    July 3

    Edgerton Lions Fireworks Festival begins at 4 p.m. Wednesday, July 3. Fireworks show will begin at dusk at Racetrack Park, 900 Stoughton Road, Edgerton, Wisconsin.

    July 4

    Beloit's Pops on the Rock: Concert & Fireworks kicks off at 7:30 p.m. at the Harry Moore Pavilion, 1160 S. Riverside Dr. The city of Beloit and the Beloit-Janesville Symphony Orchestra team up to host the annual patriotic concert and fireworks show in honor of Independence Day. Attendees are encouraged to bring lawn chairs and blankets to enjoy the free show is followed by a fireworks display after sunset.

    DeKalb Fourth of July Celebration & Fireworks Show begins at dusk at Hopkins Park, 1403 Sycamore Road, DeKalb. Before the fireworks, the day will include an animal show and live performances by the Feel Good Party Band followed by the DeKalb Municipal Band Concert.

    Galena Independence Day Celebration includes a fireworks show at dusk from Grant Park, 625 Park Ave., Galena. The day will include live entertainment, food, and beverages and a parade starting at 5:30 PM on Green Street in front of the post office.

    Huntley's Independence Day Fireworks Show begins at 9:30 p.m. at Deicke Park, 11419 IL Route 47, Huntley.

    Milton Rhythm and Boom fireworks begin at 8:30 p.m. or dark at Schilberg Park, 301 W. High St. in Milton, Wisconsin. The fireworks show is part of the Milton 4th of July Festival held July 3-6.

    Stockton Fourth of July Celebration will include a car show, food trucks and vendors on hand before the fireworks show begins at dusk at Stockton Memorial Park, 600 N. Pearl St., Stockton.

    Fourth of July Fireworks in Woodstock will begin at dusk at Emricson Park, 1313 Kishwaukee Valley Road, Woodstock. Walk-ins can enter through South Street and Jackson Street entrances. Donations will be collected to help cover the cost of the fireworks. Concessionaires will offer snacks and beverages for sale.

    July 6

    The 76th Annual Kirkland Lions Club 4th of July Celebration includes a carnival and live music and fireworks starting at 9:30 p.m. Saturday, July 6 at Franklin Township Park at Third and South streets, Kirkland. The fireworks will conclude the four-day celebration that begins Wednesday, July 3.

    July 7

    Crystal Lake Fireworks Celebration will take place Sunday, July 7, at Main Beach, 300 Lakeshore Dr. Voices in Harmony/Crystal Lake Community Band concert will accompany the fireworks. Entrance to the beach after 2:30 p.m. requires a wristband. Wristbands are $5 per person, children under 3 enter free.

    Dixon Petunia Festival will include a fireworks show begining at 9:30 p.m. on July 7 over the Rock River, 77 S. Hennepin Ave. Listen live on River County 101.7FM. The festival takes place from July 3-7.
