ROCKFORD, Ill. (WTVO) — Police arrested Breanna Bailey, 33, for allegedly trying to hit a man with her car and ramming into his garage door.

On July 1st, around 11 p.m., police were dispatched to the 400 block of Foster Avenue for a damage complaint. The man told police the incident escalated from an argument.

The victim closed his garage door because he did not want to argue longer. The man saw her backing out of his driveway in a silver Ford Focus and saw his garage door was damaged, according to court records.

The victim told authorities he ran toward the car when Bailey put the car in drive and drove directly toward him. He was able to jump out of the way to avoid being hit, police said.

A neighbor said he also saw the same incident occur, according to court documents.

Bailey is being charged with aggravated assault with a deadly weapon and criminal property damage.
