Temporary Rockford Casino to Close Ahead of Hard Rock Grand Opening

The temporary Rockford Casino, located at 610 N. Bell School Road in Rockford, Illinois, will close at 5 a.m. on Monday, Aug. 12 ahead of Hard Rock Rockford’s grand opening on Thursday, Aug. 29.

The location’s closing festivities will include a number of giveaways. The last jackpot won will be doubled, up to $10,000, and include two free Brad Paisley tickets for the grand opening on Labor Day weekend.

Additionally, Midnight Madness Hot Seat Giveaways will be occurring all night long for guests in attendance. The last patron will close and lock the front doors on the way out.

New Hard Rock Casino will have roughly 1,300 slot machines, 50 live table games, poker room, and sportsbook

The new Hard Rock Casino, located at 7801 E. State St., will have more than 175,000 square feet of gaming, entertainment, and hospitality space. The brand is hiring more than 400 additional people to staff its new casino, according to the press release.

Hard Rock Casino will feature nearly 1,300 slot machines, 50 live table games including a poker room, a state-of-the-art sportsbook, six restaurants, and a Rock Shop offering Hard Rock merchandise.

PlayersClub memberships will transfer easily from the temporary location to the permanent Hard Rock Casino location, with continued access to rewards and privileges.

Any gift cards or certificates from the temporary location will also be honored at the Hard Rock location.

Rockford Casino has operated from its temporary site since November 2021. The casino has hosted more than 1.25 million guests from all 50 states and 28 countries, averaging 50,000 monthly visitors.

Hard Rock International (HRI) is one of the most globally recognized companies. According to the website, it has venues in over 70 countries spanning 309 locations.
