Photo: Man, vehicle wanted after fatal shooting in Rockingham

ROCKINGHAM, N.C. ( QUEEN CITY NEWS ) — Authorities are asking for the public’s help in identifying a man wanted in connection with a homicide, according to the Richmond County Sheriff’s Office.

Deputies were called Tuesday, July 23, to a home on Lincoln Street off Midway Road to reports of a shooting.

First responders found one person shot. Despite life-saving measures, the person died from their injuries.

Authorities are sharing a photo of a suspect’s vehicle. The vehicle appears to be a white 2017–2020 Toyota RAV4 SUV with tinted windows. The front left tire may be a donut spare tire or a wheel missing a hubcap.

Anyone who may be able to identify the SUV, the suspect or who may know where the vehicle was before and/ or after the incident is asked to contact authorities.
