Eric Hopkins Speaks to West Bay Rotary

Celebrated local artist Eric Hopkins recently came to West Bay Rotary’s Thursday morning breakfast meeting to share his thoughts on what drives his art these days, what he cares about, and what continues to move him to create in all forms. With unabashed enthusiasm, he shared the connections he feels with his community through generations and as an artist to create and express those connections. Today, the driving motivator for him is about “legacy.”

New Work by Faculty at Messler Gallery
ROCKPORT — The Center for Furniture Craftsmanship’s yearly exhibition New Work by Faculty opened for the summer on Friday, June 14, at the school’s Messler Gallery. “The 29 woodworkers, designers, and artists represented are leaders in the fields of furniture making and design, wood turning, marquetry, and carving,” said The Center for Furniture Craftsmanship, in a news release.
Annual Islesboro Arts Collective Arts & Crafts Show
(Islesboro, ME) Join members of the Islesboro Arts Collective and Friends for their annual Arts & Crafts Show at the Islesboro Historical Society. The show will feature works from eighteen artists/makers, and hours are Friday, August 2 through Sunday, August 4, from 12:30 to 4:30 pm. LINCOLNVILLE — Lincolnville Center Indoor Flea Market will be held Saturday, July 20, from 8 a.m. to noon, in the Community Building located at 18 Searsmont Road, Rt. 173, Lincolnville Center. This is the tenth season of the flea market which is held the third Saturday of each month through October.
