(FOX40.COM) — An armed robbery at a business in Rocklin led to the arrest of an 18-year-old man, according to the Rocklin Police Department.

On Friday evening, Rocklin PD officers responded to an armed robbery at a business located in the 6500 block of Fairway Drive. The business told police the suspect, a man wearing a ski mask and armed with a gun, demanded money and fled the scene after stealing cash. Upon arrival to the scene, officers said they reviewed video footage from nearby cameras and interviewed witnesses.

RPD identified the suspect’s vehicle as a white Honda Accord and shared the information with other local law enforcement agencies. The suspect was spotted by a Citrus Heights patrol officer near Auburn Blvd and Pratt Avenue, according to RPD. His vehicle was pulled over by the California Highway Patrol and an 18-year-old man from Weimer was detained.

Rocklin Police Detectives said they arrived at the scene to collect evidence and found several “realistic replica firearms.” The man was arrested and booked into the Placer County Jail on charges related to robbery.
