5th annual Back to School event coming to Rockmart next weekend

Mark those calendars for next Saturday, July 27 as organizers provide a day of fun – and much needed supplies – for local youth and their families getting ready for the start of the new school year.

The event held in memory of Dadrian “Wade” Cummings will give kids a chance to grab some free school supplies, enjoy some hot dogs and fixings and even play in bounce houses at Seaborn Jones Park for this year’s event.

It’ll be held in the park from 4 to 7 p.m. Note that supplies are limited, and donations will be made on a first-come, first-serve basis.

Next Saturday’s event marks the fifth year that the Back to School Community Fun Day has been held in Rockmart.
