Two Maryland Restaurants Top Food & Wine’s Best Crab Cakes in the U.S. List
Founded in 1978, Food & Wine magazine is considered a global authority on food and drink culture. “We share and celebrate the best recipes, experiences, and culinary talent in the world, inspiring and empowering curious food-obsessed people to eat, drink, host, and travel better.” The magazine/website created a list of the “Best Crab Cakes in the U.S.” and, not surprisingly, the top two are right here in Maryland.

The City of Rockville will offer free movie nights in local parks from July 31 to August 21. Per the news release: Mark your summer entertainment calendar for Rockville’s free outdoor Movies in the Parks, on the big screen at neighborhood parks throughout the city on Wednesdays from July 31 to Aug. 21.
Torchy's Tacos construction picks up steam in Rockville
Is now under construction at 1776 E. Jefferson Street at Federal Plaza in Rockville. Construction crews are working into the night on the interior fit-out of the Mexican restaurant, which is replacing another famous chain, Chuy's, at the shopping center. Chuy's sadly departed in 2020. Torchy's is expected to open this fall.

Marylanders can now have alcohol delivered through third-party platforms
BALTIMORE – A new law in Maryland makes it easier for adults to order alcohol for delivery from the comfort of their homes. House Bill 808, which took effect on July 1, allows Maryland counties to let users order alcoholic beverages from local merchants for delivery by third-party platforms like DoorDash. New public art installed at Rockville Town Square (Photos)

That's just what the City of Rockville and property owner Morguard have done with a large storefront that has been vacant for a painfully-long time at Rockville Town Square. The windows of what was to be HalfSmoke at 36-A Maryland Avenue are now hosting a new public art installation. "The LOVE Mural" was painted by artist Lisa Marie Thalhammer with assistance from members of the community during this month's Rockville Pride event.
