Police identify woman killed in Montgomery County crash

MONTGOMERY COUNTY, Md. ( DC News Now ) — The Montgomery County Police Department said it has identified a woman who was killed in a crash early Saturday morning.

Police said that at about 2:15 a.m., they were dispatched to Goshen Road near Rock Elm Way for the report of a two-vehicle crash.

Officers said a Kia was travelling on Goshen Road when it crashed with a Hyundai that was traveling south on Goshen Road near Rock Elm Way.

The driver of the Hyundai was transported to the hospital where she later died.

She was identified as 25-year-old Yanique Tyshay Jones of Rockville, Md.

The driver of the Kia was transported to the hospital with serious but non-life-threatening injuries.
