Bainum Family Foundation commits $100 million to early education
The Bainum Family Foundation has announced a five-year, $100 million commitment to early childhood education. The largest investment in the history of the foundation will expand its geographic reach beyond Florida and Washington, D.C. Through initiatives including WeVision EarlyEd, the foundation will use its resources to define ideal child care and make it real for families now and in the future. Kentlands Bar Crawl Raises More Than $1700 For Charity
The Kentlands Bar Crawl, an event that started over 20 years ago and has grown to include more than 150 people this year, has raised $1720 for Feed the Fridge. Kristin Johnston, one of the newer organizers of the event who joined original organizers Sue Kravitz and Debbie Freedman last year, tells us that this year’s event raise $860 that was matched by Feed the Fridge founder Mark and Amy Bucher for a total of $1720 raised.
