Suspected shooter arrested after sparking alert in Stearns County

A person accused of violating a restraining order was arrested after firing off multiple shots in Stearns County, sparking a police alert on Monday.

Officers received a report Monday about a restraining order violation at a residence on County Road 8 in Rockville, near Grand Lake. The victim said the suspect was firing "multiple rounds" from a gun in an unknown location.

Stearns County officers and Stearns-Benson SWAT arrived at the suspect's home and set up a perimeter around it. While they couldn't find the suspect at that time, multiple guns were confiscated during a search warrant.

He was finally arrested on Tuesday when he was seen driving in Maine Prairie Township.
