31-year-old Central NY motorcyclist dies after motorcycle crash in North Country
Rutland, N.Y. — A 31-year-old man, who crashed and hit a metal culvert, died Friday in Jefferson County, troopers said. Adam L. Lyon, of Bridgeport in Madison County, was riding his green 2024 Kawasaki ZX14R southwest on County Route 49 in Rutland around 1:05 p.m. when he crashed on a curve, according to news release from state police.

LOWVILLE- A resident from Western New York is accused of intoxicated driving in Lewis County, authorities say. Courtney R. Vanvalkenburg, 43, of Ransomville, NY was arrested late Thursday by the New York State Police (Lowville). Vanvalkenburg is formally charged with one count each of DWI (first-offense) and operating a motor vehicle (w/a .08 of 1% BAC or greater).
Cybersecurity incidents disrupt services in Kentucky, Ohio
All eight branches of the Jefferson County Clerk’s Office in Louisville, Kentucky, remain closed after a ransomware attack on Monday. The clerk’s office, responsible for issuing vehicle and voter registrations, professional licenses and housing deeds, told Spectrum News 1, which first reported the cyberattack, its data appears not to have been compromised. Its website was inaccessible on Wednesday.
