ROGERS, Ark. (KNWA/KFTA) — The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, Beaver Lake Office announced on Wednesday the Horseshoe Bend Day Use area will be reopened ahead of the holiday weekend.

A release from USACE said the park was initially closed after the destructive storms that moved through Northwest Arkansas over the Memorial Day weekend left “excessive amounts of debris, downed trees, and exposed power lines.”

The boat launch ramp in the campground area is open and the campground, including the swim beach, remain closed,” USACE said.

It is not known how long they will be closed.
