Rogue River Highway reopened after shooting investigation. The Rogue River Highway near Caveman Bowl is back open Saturday morning after the Grants Pass Police Department investigated a shooting late Friday night. No further information on the investigation is available at this time.
Three arrested in connection to two illegal grow sites in Josephine County
JOSEPHINE COUNTY, Ore. – Three people were arrested in connection to two separate search warrants executed at illegal marijuana grows in Josephine County earlier this week. During the first raid, in the 800 block of Greenview Road in Cave Junction, officers found over 3,100 marijuana plants, 2,000 pounds of processed marijuana, three guns, and a large amount of cash.

Medford man drowns while on vacation near Gold Beach
CURRY COUNTY, Ore. – A Medford man is dead after drowning in the Rogue River approximately nine miles east of Gold Beach on July 14. According to the Curry County Sheriff’s Office, just after 1:30 p.m., deputies responded to reports of a drowning at the Lobster Creek gravel bar area.

"All evacuation levels are canceled for the Salt Creek Fire east of Eagle Point, Ore," the Jackson County Sheriff's Office wrote. "Jackson County Sheriff’s Office is canceling the evacuation levels due to successful firefighting efforts over the last few days."
