Ground Breaking on New Park at Christoff and Sons
Ted Christoff and Georgia Fojtasek broke ground on what will be known as “The North Edge Art and Commerce District”. The initial plan will feature an installation preserving portions of the Mechanic Street bridge. Research showed the bridge had spanned the road for 120 years or more. The bridge also featured graffiti that says “An army of sheep led by a lion is better than an army of lions led by a sheep”, attributed to Alexander the Great.

New Dollar General Market Store Set To Open Soon In Lyons

Man uses knife to defend himself after suspect allegedly enters Jackson home with a baseball bat
JACKSON, Mich. (WILX) - Jackson police said one man used a knife to defend himself after a person allegedly went into his home with a baseball bat overnight Wednesday. On July 24, just before 2:45 a.m., police said they were called to Greenwood Avenue and W. Biddle Street for a disturbance. When they arrived, they discovered that a 27-year-old man had been hit by a brick, allegedly by a 43-year-old person.
