The City of Beachwood will offer a unique opportunity to step back in time to one of the most tragic moments in U.S. history during their August Eat & Meet program, formerly known as Senior Day Out (SDO). At least two of the guns used in the Akron mass shooting on June 2 have been linked to another case in another city. The police department is continuing to pour through leads, but so far, those responsible remain on the loose, Police Chief Brian Harding said in a news conference Tuesday morning.

(NYSE: NYSE:FE), a major electric utility company, announced Wednesday that its Board of Directors has declared a quarterly dividend of $0.425 per share on outstanding common stock. Authorities ID man killed by Churchill police in front of his Forest Hills home
Details emerged Tuesday about the man that a Churchill police officer fatally shot last week outside his Forest Hills home. Police said Gregory Carlson, 48 was armed when they encountered him around 9:20 p.m. Thursday night outside his house in the 200 block of Glasgow Road. Officers from Forest Hills, Churchill and Swissvale responded.
EPA says cleanup nearly complete after tanker crash
AUSTINTOWN, Ohio (WKBN) – The work to clean up a spill in a drainage ditch that leads to a creek and ultimately the Meander Reservoir is almost done. The spill happened July 3 after a crash on the Ohio Turnpike in Austintown. A tanker hauling a load of tack coat collided with another vehicle and crashed through a guardrail. It then began leaking the petroleum-based material into the Bravo Creek, which flows into the Meander Reservoir.

Popular Cuyahoga Falls bridge closes for the summer for construction
CUYAHOGA FALLS, Ohio — Those heading to Blossom Music Center soon may want to plan their trip, as a popular bridge in Cuyahoga Falls is closed for the rest of the summer. The Steels Corners Bridge eastbound has been closed on E. Steels Corners Road West of the State Route 8 interchange. The Summit County Engineer's website states the closure is to allow crews to replace bridge expansion joints, overlay the bridge deck with concrete and more.
Summit County Fair opens this week; kids under 15 get in free 1 day
TALLMADGE, Ohio – The Summit County Fair is scheduled for July 23-28 at the fairgrounds in Tallmadge, located at 229 E. Howe Road. A family tradition since 1850, the fair offers 4-H and open-class exhibits in livestock, horticulture, floraculture, domestic arts, culinary arts and fine arts. More than 250 food and commercial vendors will be spread out across the 66-acre fairgrounds, according to event organizers.
