Nine day closure begins for stretch of Kirk Road in Austintown Township
Kirk Road in Austintown Township is closed through Wednesday, July 31. Beginning Monday, the road will be closed between state Route 46 and South Turner Road for culvert replacements. The detour route will be SR 46 to New Road to South Turner Road.
Bath Township Fire Department provides update on mulch fire at Resource Recycling
ALLEN COUNTY, OH (WLIO) - New details are coming out about yesterday's fire at Resource Recycling. The Bath Township Fire Department arrived at the large blaze at around 3:20 p.m. on Sunday. Materials on fire included mulch, cut trees, brush, large industrial crane mats, and pallets. Eighteen agencies from four different counties assisted. Containing the fire was made more difficult because there was not a fire hydrant nearby, and trucks had to travel back and forth to one around a third of a mile away from the scene.
