Concerned citizen saves toddler from toll road
MISHAWAKA, Ind. -- According to the Mishawaka Police Department, a toddler has survived an attempt by his father to end both of their lives Wednesday morning. Police say the call came in around 12:47 a.m. of a brother and sister that had found a vehicle parked facing south in the northbound lanes of traffic on North Main Street, on the overpass over the Indiana Toll Road.

Upgrading Tuesday's severe storm threat
Today brings active weather with the threat of severe storms, especially this afternoon. We're starting the day dry, but a line of rain and thunderstorms moves in around 11:00 AM as a warm front lifts northward through the area. Although it'll be wet and stormy midday, this is not when we're seeing the greatest threat with our severe risk remaining relatively low. The line moves out around 2:00 PM, followed by scattered thunderstorms this afternoon. The window most likely to see severe storms will be 3:00 PM - 8:00 PM, severe weather ingredients look to be maximized around 5:00 PM. Our greatest concerns look to be hail and tornadoes, damaging winds and heavy rain are possible as well. Stay weather aware today and have your severe weather plan in place.
