Michigan Works receives a $3.9 million grant to increase skilled workers in high-demand jobs
Michigan Works of Berrien, Cass and Van Buren counties recently won a nearly $4 million grant that will help pay for job training in Southwest Michigan. The grant is from the U.S. Department of Labor's Apprenticeship Building America program, which is part of a Biden administration initiative to train skilled workers for in-demand jobs.

Billy Easton II, an undergraduate student from Goshen College, is participating in the U.S. Department of State’s Critical Language Scholarship (CLS) Program to study Swahili during the summer of 2024.
