Deputies with the Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department and Los Angeles County firefighters responded to a traffic collision around 1:38 a.m., involving a fire hydrant at Garvey and Evelyn avenues in the city of Rosemead.

Once firefighters and deputies arrived at the scene, they located a gray vehicle that had struck two parked vehicles and a fire hydrant.

The driver of the gray vehicle was transported with minor injuries to a local hospital. Sheriff’s deputies did locate open cans of Modelo beer inside the car.

Firefighters managed to turn off the hydrant within 30 minutes of receiving the call.
