FIVE POWER LINES DOWN REPORTED ON MONDAY
First responders were busy yesterday with multiple calls related to utility lines coming down. The first such call was at 2:40 PM yesterday as a line went down along Two Lick Drive in White Township. LOCAL ORDINANCE TO REPLACE WEIGHT RESTIRICTION ON ROADS PASSES
Big Run Borough Council voted to approve an ordinance replacing the weight restriction on Mitchell Avenue. Today’s Punxsutawney Spirit reports the new ordinance maintains a 10-ton weight limit, requiring heavier vehicles to obtain a special hauling permit. Local traffic is exempt unless it’s likely to damage the road, in which case a permit and bond are required.
