The Schenectady Police Department is investigating after a 43-year-old man seriously injured his hand due to fireworks. Police said the incident happened around 8:45 a.m. on Thursday in the Hamilton Hill neighborhood.

Traffic stop leads to illegal gun possession arrest in Albany
On Monday, patrols from the Albany County Sheriff's Office pulled a car over near Central Avenue and Quail Street after witnessing a traffic observation. The incident happened Wednesday, May 22, at the Saratoga County jail in Ballston Spa, but was not reported publicly until Tuesday, July 2.
