ROUND ROCK, Texas (Talk1370.com) -- Two people are dead and 14 others were injured after a shooting at a Juneteenth celebration in Round Rock Saturday night, officials said.

Round Rock Police said a 911 call reporting the shooting came in just before 11 p.m. Saturday night from Old Settlers Park. According to Round Rock Police Chief Allen Banks, the shooting happened after a fight between two groups at the event, near the vendor area.

In an update Sunday evening, Banks said the investigation - and the search for a suspect - are both ongoing. In addition to the two deaths, 14 people were injured in the shooting, ranging in ages from 10 to 62.

Banks said detectives were with the families of those deceased Sunday night; more information on their identities is expected to be released on Monday.

According to Banks, the suspect is described as a Black male, 19 to 20 years old, 5' 7" with a thin build and short dreads. He was last seen wearing a white hoodie.

The Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, and Firearms is offering a reward of up to $5,000 for information leading to the suspect's arrest.

“It is unfortunate that we were here celebrating a wonderful event and we have a tragedy that happens,” Banks said. “My thoughts and my prayers go out to the victims. My condolences go out to the families of the deceased.”

In addition to the ATF, the FBI and the Texas Department of Public Safety are also assisting in the investigation.

Banks credited police officers along with members of the Round Rock Fire Department for their quick response to the incident, who immediately tried to help victims.

Anyone who witnessed the shooting or has video of the incident is asked to call Round Rock Police at (512) 218-5500.

Round Rock Mayor Craig Morgan addressed the incident in a statement Sunday morning.

"I know Round Rock residents are devastated as they wake up to the terrible news of last night's tragic events," Morgan said. "To the families who are mourning the loss of loved ones, please know that our entire community mourns with you. To those who were injured, we are here to support you in your recovery. We are a community that values safety, celebration and unity, and we are committed to ensuring that our community heals through this event together. We will not let this incident define us, nor will we let fear take hold. Instead, we will support each other, offer help where it is needed and remain united in our resolve to make Round Rock a safe and welcoming place for all."
