    Man dies after Russell County crash Sunday, VSP reports

    RUSSELL COUNTY, Va. (WJHL) — A Buchanan County man died after a crash in Russell County Sunday night.

    According to Virginia State Police (VSP), a 2005 Volvo XC90 was heading north on Swords Creek Road (Route 67) at 10:05 p.m. The Volvo went off the left side of the road about a half-mile north of Maple Gap Road.

    Seperate Crash — One dead after crash in Russell County

    State police report that when the Volvo left the road it struck a parked car.

    VSP identified the driver as Tony R. Hill, 65, of Rowe, Virginia.

    Hill was transported to a nearby hospital, where he died due to his injuries. Hill was wearing a seat belt, according to VSP.

    As of Tuesday, the crash remains under investigation.
