Vendors and Non-Profits Sought for Roxbury Street Fair

ROXBURY, NJ - Vendors and non-profit organizations can apply online for spots at the annual Olde Suckasunny Day street fair, taking place in September.

The event, to happen on Main Street in Succasunna, is scheduled for Sept. 7 from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. Priority will be given to those who apply before Aug. 8.

Olde Suckasunny Day draws hundreds of people each year, with most of the activity taking place in front of the Roxbury Public Library and the Methodist and Presbyterian churches.

"There will be fun, food, games, performances and the opportunity to support local businesses and non-profit organizations," said the library. It noted that The Friends of Roxbury Public Library will be hosting a "massive" book sale during the event.

The price for businesses to secure 10-square-foot spaces is $30 per spot. There is no charge levied on non-profit organizations, but the non-profit spots are limited to within the library parking lot and lawn.

Vendors must provide a description of articles to be sold, the activity being planned or items to be displayed. "Items such as silly string, exploding poppers, knives and cap guns will NOT be allowed at the booths" stressed the organizers. "Only one vendor representing the same business/franchise (i.e. Avon, Mary Kay, etc.) may participate at the event on a first-paid-first-served basis."
