Mission Bay History

Rufus Rumplestiltskin
I was banned for three days for posting about La Jolla Beach history because I mentioned the sea creatures living there even though I don't have an opinion about them. So this time I won't mention any creatures and hope I can discuss San Diego history in the San Diego subreddit without hurting someone's feelings and getting banned again. Today I learned that Mission Bay used to be a marshy wetland until the city dredged it out and constructed what is now known as Mission Bay. I also learned that there is a small island within the bay (that I won't name because it's a protected creature sanctuary) that was reinforced with concrete blocks in defense against erosion and now is a habitat for creatures. I got this information from a video that I watched but don't even ask which video or where cuz it got my last two posts deleted. Anyways, enjoy your Friday!
