The CSPA Q&A: Pittsburgh Housing Authority Executive Director Caster D. Binion
Much like the rest of the state, Pittsburgh continues to seek solutions for the area’s affordable housing crisis. As the longtime executive director of the Housing Authority of the City of Pittsburgh, Caster D. Binion oversees a $200 million budget and the operations of roughly 2,600 units of public housing, 6,200 Housing Choice Vouchers and 700 mixed-finance units. He also heads up HACP’s efforts to provide public housing residents with programs and services that provide workforce development, crisis support and quality-of-life enhancement.

Report: Duquesne to Play Against Familiar Ivy League Team
It looks like we can add another game to the Duquesne basketball 2024-25 schedule. According to national basketball insider Rocco Miller, Duquesne and Princeton are working on an agreement to play for the second-straight year. As Miller detailed in his report, the two teams are looking to play at CURE Insurance Arena in Trenton, New Jersey on Nov. 8.

Plum School District settles discrimination claim with job applicant for $5K
The Plum School District will revise its application process as part of an agreement settling a discrimination allegation. The district agreed to pay Eile Demkee $5,000 to resolve Demkee’s claims. That amount, inclusive of attorney’s fees and costs, will be paid by the district and/or its insurance carrier.

1 killed, 2 injured after stabbing in Pa.: police
One person was killed and two other people were injured following a stabbing in Allegheny County on Thursday. Police said they found a man with multiple stab wounds on the porch of a house along Worthington Street in Versailles at about 8 p.m., according to WPXI and WTAE. He was pronounced dead at the scene.
