WINONA COUNTY, Minn. – A rider was taken to the hospital Sunday after a motorcycle crash in southeast Minnesota. The State Patrol says Jon Dorien Brown, 51 of Mankato, was riding a 2007 Honda west on Highway 14 when he lost control and crash near mile marker 254 in Winona County.
Winona man sentenced for violent standoff in Pine Island
ROCHESTER, Minn. – A man who fired 20 shots at law enforcement has been sentenced to probation. Michael Steven Molitor, 39 of Winona, was arrested on August 20, 2022, after a violent standoff in Pine Island. Court documents state police conducted a welfare check at a home in southeast Pine Island after reports of Molitor threatening to commit “suicide by cop.” Investigators also received reports Molitor was holding a female hostage named “Alicia.”
