People for Life take to Erie streets protesting sale of mifepristone abortion medication
Members of People for Life gathered for a protest Saturday morning. Several people took to the sidewalks of West 12th Street and Peninsula Drive to protest mifepristone. It’s the first of two medications that are used in a medication abortion and is now being dispensed at Walgreens and CVS.

Erie, Pa. - The Mercyhurst Men's Soccer team is set to officially kick off their run in Division I this week with a pair of road matchups. The Lakers, who finished 14-3-1 last season, will first travel down the road to Pittsburgh to face Pitt before taking a trip out west to face San Diego State University.
Annual Car Cruise-In Draws Crowds
The Sixth Annual Car Cruise-In for the Veterans Miracle Center of Erie made its return this weekend. The car show was held at the Lake Erie Community Park on Saturday morning. The event included vintage cars and classic cars. One hundred gift bags were passed out to attendees to help homeless veterans.

A TikTok video shot inside a Pittsburgh hospital is going viral and bringing awareness to the domestic violence community. The video, uploaded a week ago, has been viewed more than 8 million times. It shows flyers for the Women’s Center and Shelter of Greater Pittsburgh which are placed in bathroom stalls. The flyers have rip-off tabs at the bottom and were almost all gone. The CEO for the Center, Nicole Molinaro, tells Channel 11 they are replaced every two weeks because of how much need there is for their resources. “We are thrilled that in this sort of way the word has gotten out that more resources are needed for domestic violence but that there is hope and help available.” Molinaro sat down with Channel 11′s Cara Sapida to talk about how this unexpected TikTok video helps spread awareness to such an important cause that isn’t always discussed.
