    Former Rustburg HS teacher indicted after alleged inappropriate conduct with student

    CAMPBELL COUNTY, Va. ( WFXR )– The Campbell County Sheriff’s Office reports a former Rustburg High School teacher was indicted after alleged inappropriate conduct with a female student.

    According to the sheriff, an investigation with Campbell County School Officials began in March 2024 after a complaint about alleged inappropriate conduct between a Campbell County School employee and a female student was received.

    After conducting the investigation, the sheriff says Anthony O’Neal Lovelace Jr. of Rustburg was arrested on Wednesday, June 26. The case was presented in front of a Campbell County Grand Jury where Lovelace was indicted on one count of Indecent Liberties with a child.

    He is currently being held without bond at the Blue Ridge Regional Jail.
