OBITUARY: Paul Aspy
Paul Arthur Aspy passed away June 29, 2024, just shy of his 88th birthday. Paul was born on July 25, 1936, in Middletown, Kentucky, where he lived until he left for college in Nashville, at age eighteen. Upon graduation from Vanderbilt University in 1958 with a degree in mechanical engineering, he began a lifelong career with Eastman Chemical Company in Kingsport, TN.
OBITUARY: Frank Boyd
Frank Boyd, age 92, passed away July 1, 2024 at NHC Healthcare in Murfreesboro. He was a lifelong resident of Rutherford County and served in the United States Army where he was awarded the Bronze Star while serving in Korea during the Korean War. Frank was a member of Bethlehem Church of Christ and retired from South Central Bell after 30 1/2 years. He enjoyed being with his family, boating, fishing, and traveling.

DORRIS CALDWELL “JIM” DANIEL, JR., born in Corbin, KY on March 6, 1935, died 30 June 2024 in Murfreesboro, TN. He was preceded in death by his parents, Dorris “Scott” Daniel, Sr., and Margaret Shelley Daniel, as well as many cousins, aunts and uncles. He is survived by his wife, the former Susan Garretson. They married 61 years ago in Lynchburg, VA. They have lived in Murfreesboro since 1974. He is also survived by his son, Doug (named for Douglas MacArthur, who is Jim’s hero), his daughter, Jennifer “Jenny,” his son, Thomas “Tom”, his brother, Scott Daniel, nieces, nephews, cousins and their families.

Deadly Crash Closes I-24 Near La Vergne
