Two Seats Open on Redevelopment Commission
The Madison Housing and Redevelopment Commission is looking to fill two openings on the board. The Madison Housing and Redevelopment Commission oversees federal Housing & Urban Development programs and manages properties that provide subsidized living opportunities in the community. Those properties include the Lakeview Tower, and the Madison Townhomes and 8 Plex Apartment buildings on Harth Avenue.
Brookings hosting Household Hazardous Waste Drop-Off Event on Saturday
Residents of Brookings, Brookings County and several nearby counties will have the opportunity to safely dispose of household hazardous waste at a free event on Saturday. The City of Brookings Regional Landfill will host the Household Hazardous Waste Drop-off Event from 8 a.m. to 12 noon in the Dacotah Bank Center parking lot. The event is open to residents in Brookings, Deuel, Hamlin, Kingsbury, Lake and Moody counties, all of which are in the landfill’s service area.
