Crown Burgers Is A Popular Utah Hamburger Chain

John and Rula Katzourakis and Rula's brother Nick Katsanevas opened the first Crown Burgers Restaurant in 1978. The location was in the parking lot of the current 377 East 200 South location in Salt Lake City. It seated 75 people and became very popular within the first 30 days.

They tore down the original building a year and a half later. The current building was built, which seats 150 people.

All their restaurants are in Utah. Besides the original location, they are at 118 North 300 West in Salt Lake City as well as in Millcreek, South Salt Lake, Sandy, Holladay, West Valley, and Layton.

The menu at Crown Burgers has about 65 items. They serve Burgers, French Fries, Homemade Onion Rings, Dinners, Salads, Fish, and Chicken. There are some Greek dishes such as Gyros, Souvlakia with Tzatziki Sauce, and Lemon Rice, or Greek Salad.

Customers are able to see their Burgers being prepared and cooked on the front counter grills and fryers.

The most popular sandwich is their namesake, the Crown Burger. It is a quarter pound hamburger patty on a sesame seed bun with all the trimmings and topped with Hot Juicy Pastrami.

They pride themselves on their quality food and great service.
