WAYNE — Parents are holding a school superintendent's feet to the fire after he apologized for a test question that called ISIS an Islamic terror group. The presidents from New Jersey City University (NJCU) and Essex Community College signed an express transfer program memorandum of understanding (MOU) yesterday. Under the terms of the articulation agreement, which is effective September 1st, 2024 for a period of at least five years, Essex County College students in good academic standing who have earned an Associate of Arts or Science degree at Essex, will be granted joint admission into NJCU with junior academic status, in the same or similar academic program.

SUFFERN ‒ Former SUNY Rockland Community College President Lester Edgardo Sandres Rápalo got $175,000, plus a payout for 24 unused vacation and 4.5 sick days, in a deal to leave his leadership post, according to a settlement obtained by lohud via a Freedom of Information request.
