YMCA of Saginaw giving back to local veterans
SAGINAW, Mich. (WNEM) - The YMCA of Saginaw is working to help local veterans by offering resources for those who are homeless or struggling with their mental health. July 20th marked their first Veterans Stand Down event. The YMCA partnered with STARS to offer free transportation for vets, along with organizations like the Michigan Veterans Affairs Agency and Michigan Veterans of Foreign Wars, providing health screenings, employment services, assistance with DD214′s and more.

State Rep. BeGole faces GOP opponent in fight to keep Michigan House seat
LANSING, MI — A former sheriff’s fight to keep his state House seat will begin against a fellow Republican during the Tuesday, Aug. 6, primary election. Voters first elected Brian BeGole to the Michigan House of Representatives’ District 71 seat in 2022. The former Shiawassee County sheriff represents parts of Genesee, Saginaw and Shiawassee counties.
