FamilySearch to host event to help gather Israel at BYU-I
On July 9, FamilySearch will be hosting an event to help students build community trees in Mexico on campus. After devotional, there will be 10 FamilySearch employees outside the BYU-Idaho Center, Career Center and the Hyrum Manwaring Student Center helping students with Proyecto México, an effort to serve others by building community family history trees in Mexico, from 12:30 to 2:30 p.m.
Menan prepares for community Independence Day event
MENAN — Maddie Bezzant, daughter of Dan Bezzant of Rigby and Megan Olsen of Menan and Jakob Bradley, son of Keith and Natalie Bradley of Rigby are getting married Sept. 6. The City of Menan will be celebrating the 4th of July. It will start with 3 on 3 basketball at 7 a.m. (registration starts at 6:30 a.m.), next will be breakfast and it will be served from 7-10 a.m., next will be the Flag Raising at 7:30 a.m., and a be 5k run at 8 a.m. The Car Show will be running from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. and vendors will be open at 10 a.m. The parade will begin at 11 a.m. Kids' races at 1 p.m., followed by the Duck Race at 4 p.m. The night will end with Fireworks after dark. Last Saturday our group of six was riding bikes on country roads north of St. Anthony on our way to Harriman State Park via the Mesa Falls Scenic Byway.
