MAYER, Minn. — Teigan Martin was a standout player on a standout team for Mayer Lutheran High School. He landed on a Division I football scholarship at Liberty then South Florida. Wayzata’s Riley Leatherman Wins 2024 Minnesota Mr. Baseball Award
The top senior baseball player in the state was awarded earlier this week with Wayzata’s righthanded pitcher Riley Leatherman winning the 2024 Mr. Minnesota Baseball honor. This spring, Leatherman was a perfect 7-0 in games he started and had a 1.54 ERA. He helped lead the Trojans to a perfect regular season record along with being Lake Conference and Section 6AAAA champions.

The Sibley East American Legion baseball team defeated visiting Norwood 9-3 at Green Isle on Saturday, June 29. Riley Drexler and Gavyn Hayden led Sibley East at the plate with one single each and one double apiece. Evan Pautsch and Leyton Dose contributed two singles apiece. A sailor in Lake Minnetonka Sailing School’s (LMSS) adaptive sailing program loves pulling lines. Another prefers steering. One participant, who is only 10 years old, insists that she’s ready to dock the boat.
