Two Missouri teens were injured in a two-vehicle crash Tuesday morning in Russell County. According to the Kansas Highway Patrol, at 11:15 AM Tuesday, a 2004 Dodge Neon driven by 18-year-old Christopher Ford of Hillsboro, Missouri was westbound on Interstate 70 near milepost 177 east of Gorham in the passing lane when it caught up to another vehicle.
Midas Construction Tops Off 227-Unit Luxury Apartment Complex in Ellisville, Missouri
ELLISVILLE, MO. — Midas Construction has topped off MILA Apartments in Ellisville, a far west suburb of St. Louis. The four-story, 227-unit luxury apartment complex is slated for completion in summer 2025. Midas Hospitality and Balke Brown are developing the project with affiliates Double Eagle Development and Diamond Income Fund. Designed by Rosemann & Associates, the property will feature a 141,000-square-foot parking garage. There will be eight floor plans ranging in size from 552 to 1,363 square feet. Amenities will include a courtyard, pool, bike storage, dog park, business center and fitness room. The project site was formerly home to a car dealership.

ST. LOUIS, Mo. —A remorseful St. Louis firefighter confessed Monday in St. Louis County Circuit Court that he stole a wallet and credit card from the scene of a fatal crash. Frankie R. Brake, 91, of Eureka died June 19, 2024, in Fenton. Mrs. Brake was a homemaker, a babysitter for more than 60 years and a charter member of Ballwin Baptist Church. Her heritage was deeply rooted in Shannon County where her grandfather was co-builder of the Story's Creek Schoolhouse and the lead carpenter of the construction of the Alley Mill. She attended a one-room schoolhouse in Munsell and later attended Eminence High School. She enjoyed singing in the church choir and going to bluegrass shows and music festivals to watch her husband, Paul, perform. She also enjoyed traveling across the country with her husband and spending time with her family and friends. Born March 8, 1933, in Winona, she was the daughter of the late Martha Ann (Terrill) and Grover C. Wilson.

Hillsboro eliminated Rock Memorial Post 283 in the District 13 double-elimination tournament with a 9-3 victory July 13 at Yanks Field in Ste. Genevieve. It was the Prospects’ first tournament win since joining the district last year. Playing second base and batting ninth, Anderson was 3-for-3 at the plate with four RBIs. Poncet took a shutout on the mound into the seventh inning, and finished the complete game with six strikeouts, seven hits and two walks.

High Ridge, Missouri is where the AWESOME is today. Last week, 15-year-old Savannah Strother was babysitting 2 kids when a fire broke out and the family’s home security camera caught it all. What is showed was Savannah calmly saving the day. She carried one-year-old Alyiah and lead three-year-old Brysen out the home’s front door, amidst intense flames and smoke. Taylor Dixon, the children’s mother, calls Savannah a hero, saying the teen’s prompt response to the emergency prevented a tragedy, and Savannah’s mom, Brittany Strother, is deeply proud and grateful that her daughter was so brave, acknowledging how crucial it was that she remained calm. For her part, Savannah says that she just did what anyone would have done, focusing on getting the children out safely. Brave and Calm under pressure to save lives, Savannah THAT’S AWESOME.

Police identify Eureka woman killed in two-vehicle crash on Highway 109
Investigators have identified a woman who died in a two-vehicle crash Monday morning in Eureka as Sarah A. Webb, 34, of Eureka. The woman's car hit a pickup about 5:30 a.m. on northbound Highway 109 near Interstate 44, police said. A man from House Springs, Joseph M. McKelvey, was driving the pickup hit by Webb's car, police said. He was being treated at Mercy Hospital for serious injuries.
