Body found near to high school campus in St. Cloud

A dead body was found in a grassy area near St. Cloud Tech High School on Monday morning, causing the campus to be closed for the day.

The body was discovered after firefighters were called at around 11 a.m. to a small grass fire near the school grounds. When the fire was put out, they found the body.

The victim has not yet been formally identified, nor has their cause of death been confirmed.

While the police have said there is no active threat to the public, the case remains under investigation, with the Minnesota Bureau of Criminal Apprehension and the State Fire Marshall's Office assisting.

A school representative told Bring Me The News that the district is not involved in the investigation and directed all questions to the St. Cloud Police Department.
