Wayne Kalinoski, 65, passed away at his residence in Crookston on July 2nd from cancer. His son Jesse and grandson Jaxon were at his side. Wayne was born July 9, 1958, in Ogema and adopted by Clem and Helen Kalinoski at age four. Wayne attended Greenbush School and worked construction for a number of years, then started System Facelift as his own business doing computer maintenance in Northwest Mn and into ND. Wayne also did seasonal farm labor in the Crookston area. Wayne was an avid fisherman and looked forward to bow and rifle season each year.

Man killed in Crookston officer-involved-shooting identified by family member
CROOKSTON, MN — A man killed during a police-involved shooting in Crookston is identified by his family. Christopher Junkin’s niece says he was killed late Sunday night by officers responding to a fight at a homeless shelter. Police say he became combative toward officers and did not follow verbal instructions before being shot. Authorities have yet to say if the defendant was armed.
