'Bit of a rough stretch': Minnesota family that lost home to fire loses another house in flood
A family in southwest Minnesota is struggling to pick up the pieces after losing two homes in less than a year — one to a house fire and one to recent flooding. Curtis and Karla Ray said their first house, in Slayton, burned down in November and was recently demolished. They moved to a house in Windom, which flooded in June's historic floods and will need to be torn down.

Huge thank you to CHS Inc. Eleven amazing men and one little princess showed up to volunteer their time trimming at Lakeside Cemetery. Their timing could not have been more perfect. With the flooding rains, wind damage, trees down and grass that never seems to to let up, it’s been a challenge to keep up. They arrived with pickups, trimmers roaring, tons of muscle, high energy and generous hearts. CHS Inc. allows their employees to volunteer time in the community. So glad they picked us.
