St Paul’s luncheon next Wednesday
TRUMAN — It’s farmers market time from 8-11 a.m. Saturday, July 13, at Graf Park in Truman. Vendors are welcome to come and sell. There is no charge to be a vendor. The power of produce program will be offered to Truman area youth and senior citizens this summer. The program encourages healthy eating by allowing the use of tokens to purchase fruits, vegetables, eggs, and produce from their local farmers market and Granada gardens located in Nickerson’s Body Shop lot. Pop up shop for Truman Days memorabilia will also be available at Graf Park on Saturday.

Ponstein, age 97, of Fairmont, MN, will be 11:00 a.m. on Friday, July 12, 2024, at Bethel Evangelical Free Church in Fairmont with interment in Lakeside Cemetery in Fairmont. Visitation will be one hour prior to the service at the church on Friday. Irene passed away on Thursday morning, July 4, 2024, at her daughter’s home in Fairmont. Steak fry Saturday at Sherburn Legion
SHERBURN — The Sherburn Library has storytime sessions at 3:30 p.m. on Thursdays. They also have a Boredom Buster at 2:30 p.m. on Tuesdays. Check out all the fun activities. The Sherburn Legion will hold a Steak Fry Night from 5-8 p.m. Saturday, July 13. Choose from ribeye, shrimp or smoked pork chop along with baked potato and salad bar for only $20. Red Rock Center for the Arts, In collaboration with the Fairmont Opera House, invites you for an open art studio experience featuring Mary Poppins-themed art activities from 9-11 a.m. Saturday, July 13, at the Red Rock Center, 222 E. Blue Earth Ave. in Fairmont. Open studio is a drop-in experience for boys and girls from highchair to grade school. The artwork created will be displayed at the FHS Performing Arts Center during the Mary Poppins play from July 18-23, and picked up the following week at the Red Rock Center. There is a $5 fee for materials, but participants will receive a coupon for $5 off the Mary Poppins play. Pre-registration is appreciated. Visit redrockcenter.org/art-classes.

Two Vehicle Accident in Fairmont Monday Afternoon Sends Mankato Woman to the Hospital
A two vehicle accident in Fairmont sent a Mankato woman to the hospital late Monday afternoon. According to the Minnesota State Patrol, at approximately 5:36pm, a 2016 Dodge Journey driven by a 15 year old female pulled out from the I-90 east ramp, in front of a 2022 Kia Sportage traveling south on Highway 15, that was driven by 51 year old Jessica Marie Brown of Ceylon.

Residents request one-way street
FAIRMONT– On Monday evening the Fairmont City Council heard from a number of concerned residents regarding Maple Street in Fairmont. At the end of June the group had submitted a petition requesting that the city consider turning the street into a one-way, from Prairie Avenue to Albion Avenue, for safety reasons.
