Pirates game tonight postponed
The Windom Pirates amateur baseball team has announced that its scheduled game tonight against the Milroy Irish has been postponed. The game had been slated to be played at Island Park, but flooding prompted the game to be moved, with plans to play at Jackson. However, flooding on highways in Jackson has created increased traffic by Jackson County Central High School, raising safety concerns.

Pirates sink Lakers in seven innings
Parker Meyers, Lee Hodges and TJ Stallman each drove in three runs and Hodges struck out 10 batters in five innings of work to help lead the Blue Earth Pirates to a 16-3, seven-inning victory over the Lake Crystal Lakers in baseball action at Veterans Field in Blue Earth on Sunday, June 16.

FAIRMONT — A graveside service for Helen M. Foner, age 95, of Fairmont, Minn., will be held 1 p.m. Friday, June 28, at Riverview Cemetery in Elmore, Minn. Foner passed away Thursday, Dec. 14, 2023, at Lakeview Methodist Health Care Center in Fairmont. Lakeview Funeral Home and Cremation Service in Fairmont is assisting the family with arrangements.

FAIRMONT — Ida Mae Erickson, age 91, of Fairmont, Minn., and Armstrong, Iowa, died Saturday, June 8, 2024, with family at her side. Visitation will be from 4-7 p.m. Thursday, June 27, at Lakeview Funeral Home in Fairmont. A funeral service will be held 11 a.m. Friday, June 28, at the Fairmont Evangelical Covenant Church, with additional visitation one hour prior to the service Friday at the church. Burial will be in Swea Township Cemetery, rural Swea City, Iowa. Those wishing to view the service remotely may go to the church Facebook page or YouTube channel.
