Maries County man killed in crash south of Belle
A Maries County man dies in a single vehicle crash just south of his hometown. The Missouri State Highway Patrol says Joseph Bialczyk, 20, of Belle, was driving down Highway 42 around 11:30 last night, when he failed to negotiate a curve and began to skid. Troopers say Bialczyk ran off the left side of the road and overturned. He was pronounced dead at the scene.

A Pulaski County man is facing numerous charges after he leads three Maries County Sheriff’s deputies on a high-speed chase. According to the Maries County Sheriff’s Office, a deputy spotted James Stewart, of Dixon, driving a motorcycle more than 20 miles over the posted speed limit on Highway 133 on Thursday. When the deputy attempted to stop Stewart, he allegedly sped off reaching speeds in excess of 100 mph. Stewart allegedly passed numerous vehicles at unsafe speeds, failed to maintain his lane, and ran a stop sign just outside Dixon.

A Crawford County woman suffers serious injuries when she’s thrown from the back of a pickup truck about eight miles east of her hometown. The Missouri State Highway Patrol reports Jewel Conaway, 21, of Steelville, was seated in the rear of the vehicle on Friday night, when the driver made a left turn onto Highway 8 and Conaway fell out of the vehicle. Illinois man seriously injured in motorcycle crash south of St. James
An Illinois man is seriously injured when he loses control of his motorcycle on a Phelps County highway. The Missouri State Highway Patrol reports Michael Weber, 52, of Collinsville, Illinois, was driving on Highway 68, about ten miles south of St. James, on Saturday afternoon, when he lost control in a curve. The patrol says Weber’s bike crossed the center of the road and overturned. Weber, who wasn’t wearing a helmet, was ejected.
