SMH pick for CEO to arrive this month
Brooke Bollman will join Salem Memorial Hospital as chief executive officer later this month, according to a Thursday morning release from the hospital. Bollman was scheduled to start SMH duties July 1, but in a release that day the hospital announced Kayla Chamberlain was hired an interim CEO. No reason in either release detailed why Bollman did not report July 1. In Thursday’s release, the SMH board thanked Chamberlain for her “willingness to serve as interim CEO until Brooke Bollman’s arrival.”
Nora Mae Dwyer
Burial for Nora Mae Dwyer will be at a later date at St. Clair Memorial Park Cemetery, Belleview, Illinois. Arrangements are under the direction of Wilson Mortuary, Salem. Mrs. Dwyer was born January 20, 1939 in St. Louis to William and Virginia (Butler) Dwyer. She died July 3, 2024 in Salem at the age of 85 years.

Woman injured in rollover crash on Highway KK
A woman from Bourbon was injured in a rollover crash on Highway KK Tuesday afternoon, according to the Missouri State Highway Patrol. The patrol reported that at approximately 2:33 p.m., a 2005 GMC Canyon was traveling westbound near the 700 block on Highway KK when the vehicle went off the left side of the roadway, went into a ditch and overturned.

BELLE — Officials in the city of Belle said Tuesday afternoon the boil advisory there had been lifted. Residents in Belle were under a boil advisory Monday due to a water main break. City officials had urged residents to check the city's website to stay updated on the progress.

Mary Johanna Jones, age 88, of Devils Elbow, Mo. died Friday, July 5, 2024, in Mercy Hospital in Springfield. She is survived by her children, Jimmie Jones, Jr. of Devil’s Elbow, Faith Dunn (Tom) of Devil’s Elbow, Dawn Cleeton (William) of Kauai, Hawaii, and Michael Jones (Michelle) of Devil’s Elbow; and eleven grandchildren, Jessica Reed (Asa), Brett Jones, Melanie Burns (Michael), Patrick Dunn, Tyler Cleeton (Hope), Kyle Cleeton, Ryan Cleeton, Dylan Cleeton (Angie), Roxanna Jones, Rachel Jones, and Jonathon Anderson; fourteen great-grandchildren, Asa, Paul, Tessa, Noah, Nevaeh, Nivek, Dominic, Bianca, Ricky, Owen, Johanna, Matt, Aidan, and Elizabeth; her sister, Shirley Nichols of Port Huron, Mich.; a number of nieces and nephews; as well as a host of other relatives and many friends.
