Women’s golf posts top-10 GPA in the NCAA
CORAL SPRINGS, Fla. — The academic standards continue to grow for Eastern Washington women's golf as the program earned the Women's Golf Coaches Association All-Scholar Team GPA award, posting a cumulative GPA of 3.861 for the latest academic year. The WGCA announced its full list of top 25 GPA programs across Division I, II, III and NJCAA today.
Area students earn spot on EWU Dean’s List
CHENEY — Eastern Washington University has announced the students earning Dean’s List honors for Spring Quarter 2024. Undergraduate students who earn 12 quality hours and receive a GPA of 3.5 or better are placed on the Dean’s List.
Across WA, universities see drop in enrollment
Last year, Eastern Washington University unveiled plans to revamp campus housing. One residence hall, Morrison, was demolished last summer; another, Dryden, is slated for the same fate this winter. Both will soon have newer buildings in their footprints. Even then, one of the newest halls, Brewster, has been unused for several years, according to the school.
Feed store, mercantile planned in Spangle
Spangle residents John and Shari Bartels plan to build a feed store and mercantile in their south Spokane County town. Pathways Feed Store and Pathway Mercantile, as they’ll be named, will be nestled between U.S. 195 and Old State Route 195, just south of Watt Road. They’ll occupy two buildings separated by a parking lot on a 3-acre portion of the 54-acre parcel of land the Bartels own.

NOTICE OF MEETING TO ADOPT 2024-2025 BUDGET AND CONDUCT PUBLIC HEARING. NOTICE is hereby given, pursuant to RCW 28A.505.050 and RCW 28A.505.060, that the Board of Directors (the “Board”) of St. John School District No. 322, Whitman County, Washington (the “District”) will hold a regular meeting on July 30, 2024 commencing at 6:00 PM at the Endicott Library, located at 308 School Dr, Endicott, Washington. The meeting is called for the purpose of fixing and adopting the budget of the District for the ensuing 2024-2025 fiscal year. Prior to adoption of the 2024-2025 budget, the Board will hold a hearing for the purpose of receiving comments from the public on the 2024-2025 budget. Any person may appear at the hearing and be heard for or against any part of the 2024-2025 budget. Upon conclusion of the hearing, the Board shall fix and determine the appropriation from each fund contained in the 2024-2025 budget and shall, by resolution, adopt the 2024-2025 budget, the four-year budget plan summary, and the four-year enrollment projection.
