ST. LOUIS – A lucky Missouri Lottery player from St. Louis won $50,000 on a Powerball ticket. The ticket, purchased at QuikTrip, 1617 Gravois Road in High Ridge, matched four white-ball numbers and the Powerball number in the June 26 drawing.

The winning numbers that night were 4, 9, 36, 47, and 56, with a Powerball number of 7. The prize was claimed at the Missouri Lottery’s St. Louis regional office on July 12.

Powerball is a multi-state draw game with drawings held on Mondays, Wednesdays, and Saturdays at 9:59 p.m. This Wednesday’s jackpot is an estimated $59 million.

The odds of winning a Powerball jackpot are approximately 1 in 292.2 million, while the likelihood of securing the Mega Millions top prize is even slimmer, at about 1 in 302.6 million.
