Arrest made in Fayette Co. hit and run
CEDAR RAPIDS, Iowa (KCRG) - A Postville man is facing multiple charges stemming from a hit and run crash that resulted in injuries earlier this month. Benefit Swim Thursday (07.25) for Northeast Iowa Girls Injured in Tubing Accident
The New Hampton Swimming Pool will host a benefit swim Thursday (07.25) night on behalf of a pair of Northeast Iowa girls who were injured in a tubing accident. Ashlyn and Delaney Busta of Lawler were involved in a devastating accident while tubing on the Little Turkey River near Waucoma in mid-July. Ashlyn Busta hit her head and was knocked unconscious. She is still hospitalized in Iowa City from a brain bleed, but family members are hopeful for a full recovery. Delaney injured her ankle but has been recovering at home.

Although I enjoy writing this column I’m not gonna lie. As soon as I email it into my boss Deb Kunkle on Wednesday night I feel a great deal of relief. But right after I hit the “send” button I start getting nervous about what I’m going to write about for next Friday’s column. Reminds me of a quote I saw recently by Robert Haas… “It’s hell writing and it’s hell not writing. The only tolerable state is having just written.”
