Sylvia Rose Poeppelman, 90, formerly of Osgood, Ohio, died on Friday, July 5 at Elmwood Assisted Living in New Bremen. She was born on October 13, 1933 in St. Sebastian, Ohio to the late Sylvester and Loretta (Bruns) Schwieterman. She married Victor Poeppelman on September 29, 1954 and he preceded her in death on May 27, 2019.

Dive team that recovered Virgin Mary statue fragments to receive reward
RUSSELLS POINT — Members of a dive team that volunteered to recover several portions of the 20-foot-tall fiberglass Our Lady of Fatima statue that had been blown into Indian Lake during the March 14 tornado will receive checks July 26 as a token of appreciation, according to a release by the Lima-based non-profit American Society of Ephesus.
