Early Voting will take place from Tuesday, July 16, 2024, to Tuesday, July 23, 2024, from 9:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. daily on St. Thomas and St. Croix. Walmart helps Kiwanis with food boxes
TELL CITY — The food basket program done by the Kiwanis club helps over 1,000 people in the county. This is especially true with the economy struggling. The food basket program has changed over the years. They used to deliver food to homes but when COVID-19 hit, individuals started to pick up their baskets from Ivy Tech. Kiwanis member said they are blessed to have the help of Ivy Tech and other members of the community.
2024 MLB Draft: Arizona Diamondbacks select Jasper grad, Indiana RHP Connor Foley

Indiana University right-handed pitcher and Jasper High School graduate Connor Foley was chosen Monday afternoon by the Arizona Diamondbacks in the fifth round with the 164th overall pick. Reds split doubleheader in Princeton
PRINCETON — The Jasper Reds benefitted in different ways from Saturday’s doubleheader split with Princeton Senior Legion Post 25 at Gil Hodges Field. The Reds (12-1) played away from Jasper and served as the road team for the first time since their June 2 opener at Busch Stadium and also played two games Saturday on turf — with the first game being an 8-3 victory for them, but dropped the latter game, 2-1, for their first loss of the season.
